Hi, I'm JonathanChance, I'm 23, form Coleman, WI and I'm a student at UW-Marinette. I'm going to finally transfer out to UW-Stevens Point next fall and major in either Theatre Arts or Broadcasting. I'm a Capricorn, I share my Bithday with Benjamin Franklin, Eartha Kitt, and James Earl Jones, I'm a member of The Marinette County Democratic Party, I play in the World's Largest Radio Trivia Contest in Stevens Point, WI every year for team that consistentley places in the top ten, (out of a field of approximatley 500 teams each year) I'm a fan of Tom Tomorrow, Styx, (Judging by my name, you probably were able to guess that) Tolkien, Patrick O'Brian, The Royal Navy, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Drinking, (what college student isn't, eh?) DU's Idiots List. Some of you may even know me form the other boards I frequent, such as The Internet Infidels, Fark, (Where I host a little game called Guess the Obscure European Car) and Wilwheaton.net There I think i've covered just abput everything...

I'm into First Amendment issues, particualrly Church-state seperation and free speech, (in fact, you can check out a thread in the civil rights forum about a display of documents put up by a right-wing organization), I hate Dumbya with a passion, I really want to see my state assemblyman and Assembly speaker John Gard (R-Sun Parari... I mean Peshtigo) booted out of office, I feel that the Gröpenfuhrer out in California is well, not the best qualified man for the job. Even though, I'm straight, i support gay rights, and really applauded the Lawrence decision this summer (even though O'Connor's vote lost me 200 bucks in a Supreme Court Pool I used to take place in.) That's it for now.

I also have a bone to pick with the republicans in my county. I used to be a member of an improv group. One night, I made fun of Dumbya, (I admit, some of the cracks were below the belt.) and the audience bitched and moaned to our director and the owner of the restaraunt we played at, they never laughed at any of my stuff, and eventually pressured our director to shitcan me. What really chafes my ass, is that had it been Clinton I was making fun of, this would never have happened. :mad:

The initiation ceremony is a piece o' cake.

I like the Packers, (although it's high time Favre retired, IMHO.), I like the Brewers (Yes, there are actual Brewers fans out there. We hate the Seligs and 90% of the fdront office HOW THE FARK COULD YOU ASS CANTALOUPES CUT PAYROLL AND GET RID OF THE BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM, THE VERY REASON WE COME AND PUT OUR BUTTS IN THE SEATS OF YOUR PRECIOUS MILLER PARK?????? GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! (sorry about the shouting bit, just comes with the territory being a Brewers fan, but we still love our Brew Crew) I like the Red Wings, I rooted for England FC and Eire FC during the Wolrd Cup (and, the USA during the Germany game.)

Right... um... about that...

Avoid TKE, the frat. It is important that you do this. I worked with a TKE from Stevens Point this Summer. You don't want to meet these people...

Anyway, thanks for having the guts to introduce yourself. And, again, Welcome! You sound cool!

I've already heard the horror stories about TKE on other campuses. I'll be sure to keep my distance.
