But every desert I've been to I really liked... the desert around Tucson, the sagebrush east of the Sierras into Nevada, the rock formations in Utah, and *especially* Lava Beds in Northern California! :D

But a lot of people and animals have died there. Beauty doesn't care, though :) - I have always been fascinated by tales of the silk road.
