On one hand, it's cool. I haven't actually sat down for quite a while and concentrated on writing any poetry, so it's cool to hear him reading from my old manuscript. He had a weekly "poetry corner" article in his local paper at one point, and he printed a bunch of my stuff, mostly without informing me of it. I was never aware he did a taped reading, however.

On the other hand, he had a horrid voice, and was really not very good at interpreting my stuff, so the emphasis was often on the wrong words. It's kind of annoying and frustrating listening to him getting it wrong. Still, he's gone now, and it IS a bit of a connection to the past.

Perhaps I should renew my interest in verse. I may discover I still have a thing or two to say.

1. I think that is all around GLORIOUS! He obviously cares a great
deal about you & is proud.

I don't think you'd want anyone else to read it. Keep that stuff. Even if he reads it wrong - that just means nobody else could ever read it the same way.
