Finally....Sting has come back from Thanksgiving break...
Edited on Mon Dec-01-03 11:22 PM by Sting
Hey guys and gals!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break. I know I did. It was a much needed break, that's for sure.

I went home on Wednesday, sat around and did nothing. It was great. I played the new Mario Kart game for Gamecube, and that's all I did. :)

Thursday, my family had Thanksgiving dinner. We watched the Packers/Lions game (which I must say was a great game...Packers lost...no offense to the Packers fans, they helped the Vikings a lot. ;)) That wasn't the cool part about that day. I actually got to spend time with my grandma (dad's mom). It was the first time I've seen her in 12 years. It was great. She's a nice old woman. She had a lot of great stories to tell of her travels all around the globe. That's what made the holiday even more special.

Friday, I went against my principles, and went Christmas shopping. Yes, Sting went Christmas shopping. Even worse, I bought from Wal-Mart. I couldn't resist the $40 DVD players they had on sale. Yes, I will hold my head in shame. It wasn't too crowded shopping. I only had to wait in line for 2-3 minutes. It was nice. :) At 3:15 pm, they still had a lot of those DVD players on sale as well as a lot of nice color tv's. That was kinda odd.

I then spent the weekend working on my speech on alternative fuel sources. It's a great speech, coming along very nicely.

I guess that's enough to write. Don't want to bore you all. Thanks for letting me rant and share. Later. :hi:

Sting

4. Yeah, the best thing about this weekend was the Packers losing.
But it doesn't help when the Vikes are getting their asses kicked. BTW, you should hang around the Viking Update message board. There, you'll find some of the most blind-faithed, optimistic-to-the-point of-ubsurdity Vikings fans there. It's a lot like the freepers with Bush.

I'm a Vikes fan, but if I think they suck, I'll say they suck. Don't EVER tell these people the Vikings suck.

And I think I spent most of my weekend at the Mall Of America. I met Carl Eller there. Saw Bad Santa (funny as HELL), and strolled the downtown skyway. Made me a bit homesick. *sniff*

the Vikings do suck. They suck big time. I say they should bench Culpepper and put in Frerotte (sp?). Culpepper obviously isn't doing his job well at all. Another thing I hate about the Vikings situation is that they aren't throwing those "long bombs" to Moss like they used to. Culpepper has the arm, Moss has the speed....they could make great plays with those skills. It wouldn't suprise me if Tice was fired after this year.

The defense is also a big problem. Those first six games this season were great. The defense was playing well (well for the Vikings anyways.) Then they went downhill from there. Don't know why, though...

Did Eller have anything interesting to say? I think it would be cool to meet him.

I know what you mean about the skyway system in the cities. I used to live there. I miss that place. Haven't been there since Jan. 2002. I miss seeing the St. Paul skyline at nightime, and seeing that big ol' 1 lit on top of the old First Bank building. Brings back good memories of my youth. :sigh:

6. I have the same memories with the Minneapolis part.
About Carl: He was kinda busy at his booth for his foundation, but we said hi, we shook hands, I complemented him. he's got the THICKEST, STRONGEST hands and fingers I've ever shook hands with. They're HUGE, and he was just basically grabbing onto my hand instead of us shaking hands. It's like me shaking the hand of a three year-old child. I have fairly big, strong hands myself, but they're still delicate tho, the hands of an artist. It was just basically saying hi for the most part. I told him I knew Cris Carter when I was in grade school, and I met Mike Tice in 1993, back when he was a Vikings TE.

And I think they need to put Frerotte in there. He can't run, but he'll throw the ball a HELL of a lot better than Daunte.
