Did anyone see The Last Samurai this weekend?
I did...great movie!

I told my repub co-workers this morning about it and they told me that some announcer on Fox (Samkow??) stated that it was boring and a waste of time. Based on his statements, they will not see it.

Do any repubs think for themselves? I told them of course Fox didn't like the movie. Its about fighting for honor and self-defense as opposed to pre-emptive strikes against innocent nations. They just groaned....

What did you guys think about the movie?

1. It's a Warner Bros. film...
...of course Fox is going to pan it.

2. That's really backwards logic
Usually, when a film critic says a movie sucks, then you go see the movie. It's when they recommend it that you wait for DVD.

It's not sad that they're sheep. It's sad that they're proud of it.

4. I can't say anything cause it might spoil it for others
I saw the movie at a preview in St. Pete. Went with my son and daughter and her boyfriend. We all liked it, with some reservations. There were genuinely nail-biting sequences in the flick that left your heart pounding with excitement, and a lot of sadness.

Lots better than most of the crap thrown up on the screen recently.

However, I can't see Tom Cruise as a big action hero, no matter what. I think Edward Norton would have been much better in the role and there were several characters whom I felt could have been runaway roles for someone like Chris Walken.

Just my opinion.
