your dreams from last night?
I remember two -- neither having to do w/ my car wreck yesterday, believe it or not:

1. That it was snowing. I am crazy about snow. I love it. But I abhor having to try to go to work in it -- I commute 35 miles one way into DC, and that trip averages 1.25 hours on a good day. Imagine the addition of snow. Nonetheless, I really do love snow! I was disappointed to wake up to no snow.

2. That the left-most contestant on "Jeopardy!" wasn't doing well, was getting teary, and told Alex, "I'm leaving." She walked in front of her rostrum, off-stage toward the audience. The other contestants were dumbfounded. Alex followed her, trying to think of something to say. The camera followed her, too, and when she got to the back of the auditorium she flipped off the world with both hands, right there before God & country on national television.

These are pretty mild dreams for me.

What did you dream last night?

3. Crazy psycho dreams last night.
Edited on Tue Dec-02-03 09:14 AM by mac56
The kind that, once I woke up, I had to convince myself they weren't real.

Too gruesome to describe. Br-r-r-r-r-r-r-rrrrr.

Add on edit: I didn't know about your car wreck, Bertha. Hope you are okay.

4. Bertha, first of all I hope your ok from your accident.
I had this very strange dream the other night.

It concerned this coworker of mine, Tim.

I was at Tim's house. I was sitting on the couch, drinking a beer.

Suddenly, I was standing in a hamster cage, only a few inches tall. Tim and his wife was laughing at me, telling me that they were keeping me as their pet.

I'm not quite sure I want to get into the psychology of that. I just was laughing like a loon when I woke up. :-)

I love talking about dreams....hope you are okay from the accident, my car was wrecked years ago, but I walked away from it very relieved but kind of freaked....

So my best friend gets voicemail from a guy friend of ours saying he's got a serious medical condition, and I get an email to that effect, so we both go looking for him. We end up in this warehouse and see lots of syringes--somehow we take this to mean he's got diabetes and is sick from that.

Two more friends show up, we decide we'll go looking for him. We leave, but I forgot my handbag so I go back in. He's standing there. Apparently this was a guise for us to be 'alone', I'm very happy about this (as I kind of like him in real life, this is the guy from the other post), not at all pissed that he scared the shit out of us, much romantical cheesy dream fun ensues (IOW, I didn't 'see' it, but it's implied).

Then it's nighttime, and we forgot to turn out the lights, so our friends come back to do that--we hide in a closet. For some reason, our friends can't find the light switches, and one of them wants to see if its in the closet. He and I are like "oh no!" but she opens the door and pretends she doesn't see us there. Somehow Judy Garland shows up, everyone sings a song about love or something, grand finale, it's over.

Dreams are just too crazy, LOL. The mind is a scary place.

7. I was doing freelance work for Clint Eastwood
And we were going over numbers on a spreadsheet (on paper, not monitor). No clear memory of what the job was (may have been computer related, may not), but he was being extremely nitpicky and giving me a very hard time.

9. I drempt
that my boyfriend had created a cladogram of the Lophotrochozoa for me, and that it was perfect. This was caused by me spending 5 hours last night creating a cladogram of metazoans with first appearance data plotted on it.

(Lophotrochozoa by the way.... is a huge clade that is made up of Lophophorata (brachiopods, phoranidans, and bryozoans), and Trochozoa (nemertine worms, mollusks, and annelid worms). Lophotrochozoa is probably the sister clade to Ecdysozoa which includes nematodes and arthropods and their close relatives. Ecdysozoa + Lophotrochozoa is known as Protostomata, and it is the sister taxon to the Deuterostomata, which includes chordates and echinoderms.)

11. Our dog died.
Very realistic.
Our next door neighbor called to say that Nasha was lieing under one of her bushes and didn't appear to be breathing.
I went out, in a pouring rain, and there she was.
I was trying to dig a grave in the back yard but it was all mud and I kept slipping.
whew

Nash IS very old and probably won't be with us a lot longer.
:-(

13. Horrid dream. I used to be a hairstylist and I had a dream that
I had to go back to work, which in itself is okay, but my boss ended up being my old boss who was a horrid b*&%$. It was also in one of those "hair slinging" joints like Cutter's Express or BoRics. The horrid part is, I had a highlight to do and I just couldn't get it together to start on time and ended up with 10 people waiting on me in the Lobby. I know not stellar on nightmare terms, but disruptive to quiet rest all the same. :(

14. Um...I stole a car.
A Rolls-Royce. Pulled some guy out of it at a stoplight, threw him on the pavement, got in and took off. There was more, but it's vague...this part is what I remember in the most detail. Perhaps this is a sign that I've spent too much time playing GTA3, Vice City and Mafia...

15. last night's dream was about Michael Jackson (god help me...)
I dreamed he came to my house to cut a rap single. His only engineering crew was one guy with a couple of turntables. His hair looked like it does today but his skin was early '80s color. I woke with the impression that the man is sorely misunderstood.

Dr. Bombay! Dr. Bombay! Emergency! Come right away!

16. I was at work in last night's dream
It was a little bit different in that it was bigger. We made potato chips instead of what we make but most of the employees were the same. Some things happened that I don't remember. Then my best friend, who recently got a different job, came to visit us. For some reason, he brought me a stuffed snake saying that he thought of me when he saw it.
