What do you own that you love the most?
When my 21 yr old grand daughter was in third grade she won a clock radio in a contest , and gave it to me. I still use it and It is a real treasure

Also letters written by my mother, who passed away in 2000

that fit around the one end but I lost it over the years.

I'm not sure where he got it but he gave it to me when was 9 or 10. :-)

33. How rich you are to revere your Grandpa
Speaking as a almost three year old grandpa and reading how you loved your Grandpa (spelled with a capital G), I understand the happiness and joy you brought to him. I can see the big smile on your face and the wonderful unqualified love given when seeing Grandpa again. You tug at my heart strings.

3. Probably a portrait of my mom
She passed away in '75. Losing a mom is such a hard thing, no matter how old or young you are. I always feel a kinship with others who have suffered that.

Here's her portrait.

21. My baby book...
My mom didn't really write a lot in there after my 1st birthday....

But it has a picture of my birth father, who died before she even took her pregnancy test. And a picture of my Grandpa, who died when I was 3 or 4. A picture of the two of them together. And a couple of pages my mom wrote about how important I was to my Grandpa, how much he loved me, and how my dad knew she was pregnant and was happier then she'd ever seen him before he died. She wrote about how they were such great men. I have pictures of my older brother in there, who died when I was 9. And a picture he drew when my mom was pregnant- a picture of her with me in her belly, lol- it's adorable. It's got a lot of cards in there from my family when I was born and my first birthday.
It's my most treasured possession, for sure. I have very few pictures of my grandpa, dad, and brother. Unfortunately... sometime after my brother died, someone had set fire to my home. And we lost almost all of our pictures. But fortunately, our rooms were spared- and my baby book was in my mom's room. She gave it to me to keep when I moved out of state.

32. I can't really think of a single thing I own that I love
There are a few things I have sentimental attatchments to, my dresser (I've had it all my life, my parents used it as a changing table when I was a baby,) my son's halloween costumes, a few things that were gifts from my late grandparents, but really I'm not so attatched to any object that I can say that I love it or wouldn't give it up for a good reason.

39. I know this sounds strange,
but my mother gave me the hair dryer she bought in beauty school in 1961. It still kicks the ass of any other hair dryer I've owned.

Mother has been gone since 2002... anything to remind me of her a little.

40. My daughter's hair from her first haircut. I keep it in a drawer and
it is the most beautiful braid you've ever seen. Shiny with beautiful highlights.

Makes me very nostalgic when I see it.

(She will be 29 in a couple of weeks)...........where does the time go?

41. My purple Rival Hot Pot
I bought it many years ago and I use it several times a day. It boils water quickly and if I forget I left it on and it runs dry it just turns off. I have many things that are more beautiful, or valuable or that have more sentimental value but nothing so consistently useful and dependable.

When I was at pan last year I started getting ill in the Senators office. He than took off his donkey and flag lapel pin off and gave it to me. And he said you deserve this more than me. I know the pins are probably three dollars or so but I think the world of them.
