How much beer can you drink before you barf?

I used to get down nine before I started getting queasy, Of course there were many variables there, such as brand, temprature, and rate of consumption.

I was too drunk to keep count. It takes a lot of beer to get drunk, and even more to get sick. My best guess is about 20 or so. I've been sober for 12 years, so now it would probably take about 3. hehe

I'm imagining logging on to this supposedly enlightened, discursive, rigrous website for the first time, and being met with tht subject line as the first topic in the "latest threads" column. I'd probably turn tail and run.

Can you imagine being a young guy, disillusioned with conservatism, eager to investigate liberal politics for the first time, or at least learn something about the democratic party...you log on to democraticunderground.com for the first time, and are ready to have your mind opened, ready to learn and open to new and radical ideas, and the first topic up for discussion is...

Fun's fun, guys, but...uh.....

and anyone who would look at the first thread on a websit and leave based on that alone can go for all I care.

15 beers in 45 minutes (didn't puke). It was a competition between fraternities, called the Keg Challenge. This was a head to head competition.

Each house got its top 10 drinkers, and a 1/4 keg.
Here are the rules.
1) first to finish their keg first wins.
2) If you puke you are out (your unfinished beer goes to a teammate).
3) If you have to go to the bathroom, you are accompanied to the bathroom by members of the opposite house (to make sure you don't puke), and you can't take any beer with you.

We participated in the very first one, and we learned a few good lessons. YOU MUST PACE YOURSELF.

The other team went into a chug frenzy. They lost 4 of their top drinkers in the first 10 minutes, which greatly reduced their efficiency. We finished in about 45 minutes.

As the competition matured, there were teams finishing in 30 minutes.

BTW - Because the bar was safetly located in the fraternity house, there was no risk of people driving.

Now I drink 2 beers, and I get silly.

Only time I've ever thrown up after drinking any alcohol was doing Southern Comfort. I'll never touch the stuff again.

and I think the most I've had in a day is about 15. In fact, I don't think I have ever barfed from drinking - though I sometimes have a lot of drinks, and, on at least one occasion, probably would have felt a lot better if I had thrown up. I last barfed in May 1990, and, though I had been out drinking the previous night, I blame that incident more on a bad piece of food, having consumed only 7-8 drinks.

When I was in my early 20s, I could drink 12 beers or more and usually didn't throw up. But I had the bad habit of mixing beer and hard liquor, which was not a very smart thing to do. Now, at 35, I can usually drink maybe three beers before I get the feeling that it's time to stop. I probably can push myself to six but that's as far as I can go, anything beyond that will result in vomit.

barfed from beer, Once I came close but only cause I was chugging and I ran out of room. I should have let it go, but pride kicked in and I fought to retain it.

I don't weigh much so I can't consume large amounts of alcohol. I'm a slow drinker anyway it takes me about an hour and a half to drink just one beer.
