Dimension Films' "Bad Santa" North American gross totaled $16.8 million in its first weekend of release, exceeding all industry expectations. The film was shown on 2005 screens, with a per screen average of $8379. Last night, "Bad Santa" was the #1 movie in America.

The movie received tremendous reviews, but audiences are showing their love for the film as well, with extremely strong exit surveys and word-of-mouth driving viewers into the theater. Dimension plans to expand the film a few hundred theaters each week through Cristmas, giving audiences what they want ... more "Bad Santa!"

I don't watch Entertainment Tonight very often...(like never).

I thought the Christian Fundamentalists hated Santa and Christmas trees anyway -- they're old pagan icons.

14. it's outrageous to the middle class
mainly people whose kids are asking too many questions about Santa and/or sex. Drudge doesn't need an excuse to put soft male erotica under a headline.

They ought to change the name from Bad Santa to Bad Movie. I wonder if Lorilei Gilmore is proud of her participation.

That "fuck me santa" bit was funny. He really was a bad santa. Or should I say a horny santa. This movie is definitely not for kids with all that screwing and stealing. LOL! I give it a 5 out of 10.
