Has anyone heard this gawd awful Gretchen Wilson song?
Something about "there ain't nothin' wrong with the bible / there ain't nothin' wrong with the flag" and the chorus says something about being "politically UN-correct"

1. They're all godawful
I have no idea why everyone thinks she's great. Just because it is not typical Nashville fare, we're supposed to like it? I hate that stupid "Redneck woman" song or whatever it is. Just parading her ignorance everywhere with that and the song you quote. I hate Nashville crap anyway. I am nore of an alt-country or Americana fan. I love Robbie Fulks' "Fuck this town"- all about his experiences in Nashville (apparently he didn't like it!).

2. I can't listen to country.
If I'm flipping through the radio in my car and it lands on a country station, my finger hits the "off" button like a reflex. Just the sound of it gets to me.

I accidentally switched to the CMT station on TV instead of something else. So, I actually got to see some of the SHIT video that goes with the SHIT music.

Another annoying country song is "Cornfed" by Shannon Brown. I didn't like Shannon's CD in general. Big & Rich, the duo involved with both Shannon and Gretchen, are overrated IMO.
