At the end of Febuary, winter finally arrives
We're getting snowed-in right now here in Edmonton; even The Tavern across the street has been empty all night. 15cm of snow by tomorrow afternoon, and that's twice as much as we've had combined this winter so far.

Still, there's nothing like a late-night blizzard in the city; there's a special kind of melancholy that goes w/ it, almost like a Tom Waits singing a lullaby..

4. He's one of mine
I love his post-swordfishtrombones stuff, but his 70's stuff was some of the most moving and slyly funny stuff in that decade.

The Closing Time album is just about perfect..

5. definately..his whole collection is great
swordfishtrombones was the first album i'd ever heard of his...and its still great to this day
