If you go to an ocean beach, they should still be around.

They're gray with white heads and RED bills. Very pretty.

20. Hmmmm SFO...well

You can either go South and take 92/San Mateo Bridge and head north on 880, get on 80N and get off on the University Exit, or go North and take 80/Bay Bridge and continue to University.

It's a hike, but trust me the beer is well worth it. And Berkeley is one helluva town.
