Nomination for fugliest/lamest automobile of the last 5 years...
The Pontiac Aztek.

Like I've always wanted a fugly mini-SUV that can turn into a tent. (?)

:puke:

Feel free to submit your favorite pukemobile.

Ugly and cumbersome and big and awkward like the Aztek does not. I wonder if Pontiac will be joining GM sibling Oldsmobile on the ash heap of history soon?

10. so do cancerous tumors
if you're going to have a big SUV why not pick one that is ugly as spit?

besides, it was actually (shockingly) made for doing stuff outside, unlike your average suburban assault vehicle.

14. Well, I can't imagine myself ever having any SUV.
If I needed a 4x4, I'd get a Subaru wagon one. If I wanted something roomy to go camping with, I'd get a Winnebago, or just bring tents, etc. in a regular car. I've never felt the need to have an SUV, and have yet to see one I liked. I even like minivans better.

and they were built there for a long time. I can't imagine the smile on someone's face building a 'no go' car...

It's like when the DC metro needed new cars for the system. THey bought them in Spain. Spain! great food, super wine, fine dancers. but do you really think of Spain and trains? Italy, sure. France, maybe. Germany, definately. Spain?

they were two years late in delivery.

and let's not forget that FIAT comes from the same country whose national airline stands to Always Late In Taking Off, Always Late In Arriving. Best named airline ever...

I love the fact that it's a hybrid, but the car is 70's AMC ugly. It is so unattractive that if I owned one and was going out on a date I'd pick a different car to pick her up in unless I knew she was a hardcore environmentalist.

I feel sorry for the people I see driving them, that they have no idea what an ugly car they bought.

But a close second is the Suzuki X-90, which I've seen exactly one of. Looks like it can't decide if it wants to be a car or a 2-door SUV.

Imported for 3 years, then no more. Wonder why.

There's one I see from time to time at the feed store, and it is refrigerator white - perhaps the most unflattering color for this ugly "car," next to that honest-to-God Schoolbus Yellow color they come in.

Not good, not even decent, but a bit better than any other color I've seen on this hideous beast. I guess you could say in that color, and that color only, the Aztek moves up from "butt-ugly" to "has a nice personality."

Regardless, I'd still kick it out of the garage.

...about like an early Jetta. I was shocked to ffind out that those cheesy little cars were actually EXPENSIVE - then by the 80's they actually started to look like cars of more substance, but they always had an ugly, GOP-ish yuppie stench about them that I hated. I like Benzez better, but they are still too stodgy.

The pic you posted is kinda ugly, but it seems pretty equivalent to every other BMW of the last 20 years...
