Poll question: Best Alfred Hitchcock movie?
Slowly working my way thru Hitchcock movies. What's his best? From what I've seen, I would say Rear Window.

1. They're all very good...
But, I'd say "The Birds".

2. It's a close race between NxNW, Rear Window and Rebecca
But Rear Window has to take it.

It's an incredibly tight film with nary an extraneous shot or line of dialogue. Tense and suspenseful with a good sense of humor about things.

And Grace Kelly is absolutely radiant as Lisa Fremont.

4. I remember thinking that it was a perfect movie
I agree with you. I haven't seen Rebecca yet, but NxNW is my second favorite so far.

6. I love them all. But I really like "Rope".
I've never seen another movie quite like it.

8. The Lady Vanishes
The Lady Vanishes. But I think it's because I get a bit starry-eyed over Margaret Lockwood, The Princess of Perfection...

Sorry. Single Guy + Springtime Hormones + Margaret Lockwood = Me-looking-like-a-werido

(But I still think TLV is Hitch's best, with Suspicion coming in a close second)
