5. I'm in Berkeley.
My whole building shook, but yeah, I just got the report that it wasn't as major as it felt. Wow; it felt like Loma Prieta all over again.

6. Wow...didn't feel anything up here in the north bay.
I live in fear of the Rogers' Creek fault, which runs about a mile behind where we live. :scared:

Edited on Wed Mar-01-06 03:11 PM by Gormy Cuss
Weird too, because I'm close enough(I-680 corridor.) Was it the hard slap kind, or the rumbling kind?

9. Sort of a rolling-rumbling here
on the UC Berkeley Campus. It felt like it lasted a good two or three seconds.

Didn't feel a thing...

Centered near Orinda, east of you.

Hope there are no big ones this month - we're eating up all the canned food before moving overseas! :)

13. Hey, I like the fog!
But I bought an electric fan when me moved here, and haven't used it at all, so that was a waste of money. Even on days when it's kinda warm outside, the house still stays really cool. There's maybe only a week or two in summer when you can leave the windows open at night...

But I like that. In Japan, the summers are miserably hot and humid, temps don't go below 80 even at night. I don't look forward to that at all.

14. Are you perhaps confusing inner Richmond with the city of Richmond...
...over in the east bay? Inner Richmond is a lovely SF neighborhood (city of Richmond....not so much).

15. Ah
The Richmond District near GGP. Very nice indeed.

I did think the reference was to the gang-ridden city across the bay, yes.
