Job Update: One more interview.
The ED contacted me. He thanked me for my patience and respect for their process and told me we need to set up one more interview. I'm to meet the COO. He'll be in touch soon to set up the time.

So I guess I would have found out this week if I didn't get the job, but instead, I'm on to the next level.

I have no idea the status of the other candidate.

When I saw I had an email from him, my heart started racing. If I can only hold my nerves together.

The waiting is the hardest part

I'm so afraid to get my hopes up. But I don't think they're just wasting their time having me meet all these people. I'm excited to get started. I just want the official word.

6. I think there are a few reasons.
1. They pride themselves on having very low turn-over, so I think it's very important to them to make sure everyone feels it's a good fit.

2. It is a leadership position. My title will be Director of Development and Communications. I report directly to the Executive Director.

3. They have a 3 point vision for the future, and 1 of those points is to attract strong and dedicated professionals. So they really want me to have everyone's stamp of approval before bringing me on.

I'm glad you're not totally bored by this. It's such a long, nerve-wracking process. It helps to come and post about it.
