What the *&^%# does "semi-ruggedized for SMB and EDU" mean? I have sudden visions of playing rugby with a laptop computer.

1. Semi-ruggedised means it can take a bit of a beating, but
is not waterproofed. What SMB and EDU mean, I have no idea.

2. It makes the computer nerds feel superior
so that they can roll their eyes and talk down to anyone who doesn't know these things.

3. No it doesn't.
Honestly, I'm a computer nerd (but not in the IT field, I admit, so that might skew me), and one of my few wishes in this world would be for companies to dumb down their language so I don't have to explain every little fucking thing to my co-workers and parents. It's painful. I do NOT get off on it. I wish I was a computer moron just so I wouldn't have to tell people how to copy and paste shit all the time.

5. I would guess SMB=small business and EDU=education
The laptop no doubt needs to be "semi-ruggedized" to look good in an SUV.

6. I don't have an SUV
Can I still buy a semi-ruggedized laptop? Does a Hummer require a fully-ruggedized laptop?

7. Because, if we did that, you'd think we'd be cheating you customers.
I try to do a level mix of both. Enough details plus laymans terms.

Naturally, I can't get either right anyway...

9. And the people that create computer software
Are the world's worst writers. They just can't explain how to do simple operations in layman's terms.
