Scars? Who has interesting/funny stories?
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 03:05 PM by Cush
I'm sure something like this has been posted before, but I probably missed it....so here I go

1) This happened sometime between the ages of 10-12. One night I had a dream that I was at the bus stop with my friends waiting for the schoolbus, when a snake came and bit me on the right foot. So when I when I woke up the following morning, I went to check my foot, and found a little scar. Needless to say, it kinda freaked me out. The scar is still visible, although its pretty much faded

2) Happened when I was 16. I'm pretty sure the scar is still there, but I can't exactly see it...you'll see why. Was out in the woods with my friend and his bow & arrows. I shot one straight up and it got caught in a tree. We kind of forgot about it until a little later on when I feel a big THUNK right on the top of my head. Oh, did I mention the arrows were metal tipped? Fortunately, they weren't very sharp (rather dull actually)...but there was a nice amount of blood ;-)(nothing that needed stitches). At first, we told my mom that it was a tree branch, but then told her the truth. She laughed about....as did we, it was rather funny.

1. missing part of my lip
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 03:06 PM by Braden
undiscernable without looking too closely, I wiped out on my dirt bike on an asphalt street and ripped my mouth asunder. Instead of pink lip on the corner of my mouth, the skin just fills the void.

2. During my gonzo twenties, I mountain-biked into a chain
that was strung up across an entryway. I was flying down this mountain, if the chain had been six inches higher I'd have been decapitated. I got up and had to chase my bike about fifty yards, so much momentum did I have. Got home to see the cooooooooolest imprint of the chain all the way across my chest. I prayed it would never go away, but after a few weeks it faded. I still have a small link imprint below one nipple.

3. Have you seen the movie Out Cold?
The guy has three scars on his chest and a woman ask's "Awww, how did you get those?" He points to one and says "Skateboard." then to points to another and says "Truck." and then to the last and says "Fire hydrant." so she says "Wow, each one of those must have an interesting story." and he replies "Not really, I was riding my skateboard off a truck and hit a fire hydrant"

Good times, good times :)

4. I have two little scars, one on eachside of my left knee,
from when I had a metal pin put through the knee in order to attach weights to pull my hip back down from near my rib cage after I was run over by a semi.

Only scars I have.

6. 2 on my face
barely visible. When I was eight years old and roller skating at a rink, I flew over the railing and hit a sign that said, "NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS." One screw got my chin and the other my eye lid. (eight stitches)

8. My scar listing w/ stories.....
1)Scar that runs vertically up and down across my left eyebrow. Got this when I was horsing around in my college dorm and being chased down the hall. There were swinging doors at the end and I took a jump forward to push them but ended up slamming my head into the concrete cinder block ceiling and cutting my forehead open. 3 stitches. What made this act of stupidity more ridiculous is that the week before someone else did the exact same thing and I mercilessly ridiculed them for their idiocy.

2)I have a 4 inch scar on the palm of my right hand. When I was 8 I climbed a metal fence at a baseball game and reachd up to grab the top which had the pointed metal top to it and my feet slipped and my hand gashed open on it. 4 stitches.

3)A small scar right below my "hind quarters" from sliding down a wooden railing on the stairs at my parents house and getting a rather large splinter in that area that had to be cut out.

10. When I was about 16 I was kidding around with my mom
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 03:26 PM by bowens43
and she started playfully whacking me with a broom, trying to get away, I slammed my butt into the glass on the door while trying to open it. I had to have 10 stitches right in the middle of my cheek. Very embarrassing. The scar is still there.

11. A couple of really faint ones on my face, and one other...
Scar #1 - Right above my lip. Very faint. Was knocked off of the porch by an exuberant dog that was happy to see the family return home after a day away. He knocked me off the porch, and my head went under the chain link fence adjacent to the porch (with the pointy end down.) Lucky that it wasn't worse.

Scar #2. - Between the my lower lip and my chin. To make a story really short, I am living proof that it is nearly impossible to drop through the openings in a a set of monkey bars at the playground without hitting some part of your body on said monkeybars. Bit all of the way through my lip, but it took only two stiches to close.

Scar #3. - Have a scar on my right index fingertip. I was throwing rocks into the creek. One of them had a sharp point sticking out of it. That one hurt. And it really bled. Alot.

OH. And a faint scar where my ear was pierced during my wild '80's days...

12. There's still a teeeny scar on my chin...
...from more than 10 years ago, early in college.
My friend Paul tried to crack my back while we were all in Vince's dorm room. I was supposed to bend backwards over his back as he picked me up (if that makes sense). I did so, reached for his hand, didn't find it, threw off the center of gravity and we both went flying. I fell face-first into Vince's guitar case and cut my chin. Wore a bandage for a couple of days and got asked 10,000 times if I cut myself shaving.

13. I adopted a lop-eared bunny from the animal shelter once.
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 03:37 PM by GumboYaYa
Apparently the bunny had been abused by his prior owner. They are supposed to be docile little balls of fur, but I got the bunny from hell.

As an aside, one night after a party I heard a really strange sound. It was a frantic rubbing followed by a loud pop. After each pop it would stop for a second and then resume in the same manner. I snuck out to the living room and found my little lop ear humping the balloons from the party. He would hump one until his frantic energy caused it to pop and then move on to a new balloon.

Any way, as I mentioned before, my fur ball was a hell hound and he ruled the house. We had to dodge him to go from room to room. He was an attack bunny, so we named him Stew.

One day I was less than quick in my dodge and got cornered by Stew the hell hound bunny. Stew latched onto my arm with his two big bunny front teeth and would not let go. I was running around the house screaming and shaking my arm furiously to get Stew unlatched. It was a sight to behold. Finally I managed to escape all two pounds of bunny, but I have a little circular scar on my arm to this day in the perfect shape of a bunny's two front teeth.
