So, if I can't charge $600 to a Visa,, I have to suffer with a toothache?

Please tell me that isn't so. I know there was a DUer here suffering from excruciating pain, and I think it was because he had to wait until he had the money to pay for his root canal.

I woke up with a searing pain in my mouth, and was looking through the yellow pages, and they all accept credit cards...are these people going to check my credit before allowing me to be on a payment plan? Do dentists routinely do payment plans?

This is precisely the reason I hate the dentist. They tell everyone they need $600 root canals and charge $100 to put gel on your teeth and swish it around. This is basically a rant, but dang.

1. Well, this AM I am going for a root canal. It's a $900 root canal.

Thankfully, my insurance covers some, but the rest I have to pay for...up front, to be pain free. Try dental schools in your area. My brother is in CA and swears by them. They have the latest equipment, and the people working on you are working with a dentist. He has had several root canals and gets great results. Sorry for your pain. :(

Sometimes you have to go back a few times, but I had a root canal and crown done when I didn't have dental. Great job, low cost.
