4. It just started raining so I dont think the plants will freeze
If they weren't damaged by the hail itself, they should be ok. With all this cold weather they'll probably stop their growth for a while though. Frustrating weather we've been having here!

As far as thunderstorms go, this one was small. There's nothing like thunderstorm over the plains. I used to love staying up late watching the ones that would blow through Iowa!

5. The windshield's ok - the hail was very small.
Didn't think to save any (except in the form of pictures) :)

7. Isn't the hail SOMETHING?
We've had really good bouts of it twice today in the East Bay, once around noon and again at about 6 PM. This is about as interesting as the weather gets here!

8. Any snow on the hills over there?
The weather report said the snow level was supposed to be between 500 and 1000 feet! Can you believe that just a few weeks ago it was in the mid
'70s?!?

9. Oh yeah. There's a serious frost on the pumpkin.

I can see Mt. Diablo from my back yard and it's sporting some very good size snowfields again. This is the snowiest winter for the Devil Mountain in my eight years out here.

On edit: we're at about 250 feet and the hail was thick and long lasting. That's pretty weird.
