3. I don't understand it.
I'm not afraid of it... I just don't get it. Why would anyone settle for that? Eww.

(altho', in my mammal-eating days... I guess I occasionally enjoyed that baloney with cheese in it).

39. Meat is Murder
Hey, hunny, think about it...look at the post regarding working in a meat packing plant. Well, the less you have to do with killing animals, the better off you are. Ok that sounds really sanctimonious...since I have like leather clothing, etc...and it is really hard to be conscious of it. It has to be the most difficult thing to become purist on it all...have been trying but the Doc Maartens I have been wearing for the last 10 yrs are leather. Just think and work on it. XXXXOOOO

47. Does bologna come from animals?
I really don't know where the hell it comes from.

Anyway, nitrosamines and gouty arthritis are enough to scare me away from it.

8. Get the kind from the grocery store "deli"...
With the jalepeno peppers. And have them slice it ever so thin. It's pretty tasty.

My 1,000th post is about baloney. That's appropriate, I think. :)

33. Sinclair Lewis!
I would never want to see sausage made, never had a hot dog, I can't believe so many people ingest this stuff (not that I am a purist in the food area...but why would anyone eat an animal???) I have some brochures from an animal activist society that I am afraid to disseminate....
Have you read "the Jungle" by Sinclair Lewis? It is an untintentional call to arms against meat eating and processing...he intended it to be a "wake up" call for workers in the processing plants (which also needs to be addressed in this time and age, too), but oh well...it is heart-breaking...READ IT!!

Is that what it sounds like?

I watched an old "Galloping Gourmet" show and he cooked some, but he didn't explain what it was. Doesn't sound too good.

ladies & gentlemen, john follows thru with a spectacular visual display of the so-called 'meat' in question. if the discussion was not clear before, the 'in your face' approach works.

commentator:
that's right, chet. john k. makes a clear statement with the visual. in fact, i think i'll skip lunch today. (laughter)

announcer:

I am a vegetarian, though not very strict...but once upon a time many yrs ago, when we were stoners, my brother attempted to fry balony (did I misspell this word, it looks funny) anyway...it stunk worse than anything I can think of (even worse than dead cats, and I have never attempted to fry them...)

43. Ever Eat a Hot Dog?
Baloney and hot dogs are the same thing, the only difference is the size of the casing. You could look it up!

Nitrates are good for your complexion. They make your breath smell good, and they relax you so you're pleasant to be with. You can't look that up, you'll just have to trust me.
