A judge is hearing name change petitions and calls the next petition to the bench. "So, you are hear to change your name. For what reason?"

Man: "I just don't like the name, I don't like the sound of it, never have, and finally decided it was time for a better one."

Judge: "And your name, sir?"

Man: "Sol Shmuck."

Judge: "Oh! Well I can imagine why you might want to change that. Tell me the new name you have chosen and I will grant the petition."

Man: "Sid Shmuck."
