8. Our tiger lillies
just started to grow. Spring is definitely coming. And we just saw a very beautiful and rare bird at our birdfeeder, a bullfinch (male):

13. My tulips are poking out of the ground
Also those stalky-oniony tall, puffball things that I hate that the previous people planted and which won't go away. I yank them out of the ground, bulbs and all, and they keeping coming back. They're ugly and I hate them. Even the squirrels won't eat them, that's how awful they are; they just dig up and eat the daffodil bulbs.

My snowdrops are up too and have bloomed. They'll be right at home tomorrow when it snows.

16. I don't know their real name (obviously)
It's a very tall stalk with big tulip-type leaves. The top is little, stiff flowerets, that are very pale purple, and form a ball. Some get taller than me. They lean toward the sun and are very ugly. The people who lived here before me were very into native plants and this is one of them.

I'll try to find a photo.

I hate them.
