It's one of my favourite things about this city.

4. Not around here
Feels like winter. And it hardly ever feels like winter here to me - I'm from Vermont. I know what winter feels like. The Bay Area of California is NOT supposed to feel like winter! I want my money back! I'm just about ready to move back to Vermont just so I can get warm!

Yesterday, I had snow on my deck. Ditto on Saturday. Also one day last week or the week before. We NEVER have snow here - we're not high up enough for snow. It's a bizarre year.

I'm glad you have some spring. Please send some this way. I'm cold! :scared:

6. Oh, you got the snow, eh?
yeah, it's been freaky 'round these parts....

How 'bout all that incredible thunder and lightening on Friday? I was in downtown Santa Cruz that night and there was about 2 inches of hail on the streets. I'd never seen anything like it, and I've been here almost 24 yrs!!

It's makes ya wonder, when you see these extremes with the weather. Sometimes I worry about what my kids will face, as they become adults....

9. I mowed mine in mid- or late January
It was pretty shaggy, but it wasn't dry enough to mow until then.

Did it once since then, too. And it needs it again, but we've had a lot of rain lately, so it's gotta dry out some.

11. The longer days are so much more noticable in Canada.
They get really short in the winter and really long in the summer.
