Do the Red House Painters rock, or what?
Albeit, rather slowly. But they do rock. Thank you whoever posted the RHP thread yesterday. I downloaded some of their tunes and am hooked. I'm going to have to go out and buy all their disks. The first tune I heard was "All Mixed Up" and it totally blew me away. Sounds a bit like Guster on downers. Does Mark Kozalek sound a heck of a lot like the lead singer from Guster or am I totally crazy? I can sort of see the Neil Young comparison--the guitar playing is almost as shitty as Young's. But I don't mind it. The difference is this guy can sing, whereas Neil...oh never mind! Thanks for the tip!

1. Other RHP covers...
11 minute slow-jam of McCartney's "Silly Love Songs."

Odd slow-fast take of Yes' "Long Distance Runaround."

These guys have been one of my faves for years! Enjoy.

Just curious. And what is Mark Kozalek's solo stuff like? Does he tour?

5. Long Awaited New Album, Tour?
According to their page on SubPop record's site. Nice bio, sample tracks, too.

This "new" album is actually from 1997, but got shelved. It is all on the site. Check it out. I am not sure if it is current, I couldn't find a date on it.
