Good Monday Morning, Crew!
:donut::hi:
How are you today, my Crew? :loveya: I hope you had a great weekend! It's time to begin another work week though, so RISE AND SHINE! :bounce:

Our GM is back today from her vacation so I don't have to be responsible for her duties anymore, which will make my job quite a bit easier! Greekspeaks father, who has been here for a visit for the past ten days, leaves for home tonight back to Missouri. So the Clintmax household is also going to return to normal today. Everything happens all at once doesn't it?

Are you ready to get this first work day of the week started? Me too! :bounce: Grab some coffee and let's start this day right! :woohoo:

17. We normally go for other employees behind their backs
which I suppose is the equivalent....

It's always deserved though - I work in the same office as one of the company credit controllers, she's been chasing somebody to pay a speeding-fine from when they were in a hire-car. Said person finally paid today - the only problem being the cheque was made out to pay my office-mate personally rather than the company. :eyes:

it is her bf's really old TV. She didn't had a TV for years and now that she has one again she watches too much TV instead of reading. So she is thinking about going without TV again. It is a really old TV but better than nothing for me. And then in October I can start saving for a new TV.

it suddenly lost certain colors and it got dark. The people looked reddish or blueish. When I turned on the TV the next morning to see if it was back to normal it was - for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then the green stopped working again.

105. Morning MissH
Yes, not being able to feed oneself would cerainly be a dilemma, at least for me, seeing how much I like to cook and eat!

Did you have a nice weekend with your Mom? Mine weekend was great. Did a lot of hiking up North. Rather cold but refreshing. I feel rejuvenated and I'm ready to start the week.

I posted a couple of pics of Lake Michigan here if you're interested in seeing them.

I had a nice weekend with my mom. Saturday we went to my dad's grave (who would have turned 60 yesterday). And Sunday we went for a walk. Where my mom lives they still have a lot of snow but the sun let us feel the spring already. It was really nice.

I love to cook and eat also, that is why I have somewhat troubles to lose about 10 pounds.

As far a sport, you'll just have to find something that you like to do. And time of day is important too. I've got a friend who can only work out in the morning. Me? I like to work out over my lunch break, and after work. Mornings just aren't for me, not before work anyway.

132. I don't even know if the gyms near me are open in the morning
but it doesn't matter since I need the time to drag myself out of the bed in the morning anyway. Don't have much time during lunch break so only chance is after work. And when I get home I am just too lazy to get myself out of the apt again to do sport. I will take the bike to work as soon as it is warm enough. That should help too.

In German we say "Innerer Schweinehund" (translates to inner swinedog).

25. I did some pleasure reading at home
I've been reading Nickeled and Dimed, which I just picked up at Borders (an excellent expose of wage slavery in America). I'm also reading Erewhon and She's Come Undone, both of which I borrowed from the library. The first is allegedly a Utopian tale, but I can't see the country described in the novel as a utopia (though it isn't exactly a dystopia either). All I can say is it is a very strange story. The second is a story of psychological angst, which is right up my alley.

They're quite popular, aren't they?

Have you read any R.A. Salvatore? I have a few of his books, and met him a few times. He lived in the little city that was the "Twin City" to the one I lived in for the years right before I moved down here. He has quite a devoted following. His books are in the Sci-fi/fantasy category.

20. Morning! 'Rise and Shine'.... mind you I did just see
a Kenyan at the commonwealth (Games) do something that could be considered just that...In the middle of a race. Got himself a 5km Games Record for it too... it was the most amazing race I've ever seen!

44. ...
 Aaaahhh....

It was on Monday, in the Commonwealth Games. 5km race... There was this one big guy, and one little guy. First the little guy led a pack, without the big guy. Then the big guy overtook everyone, with the little chasing on his tail... the two of them took of and got way ahead of everyone else, with the big guy in the lead.... until with just 800 m left the little guy managed to edge ahead... just... the big guy was closing, then the little guy did the 'rise and shine' I was talking about, and almost left the camera behind as he sprinted the last 700m (~2200 feet) to get a Gold medal and a new commonwealth record... even the big guy was completely left behind. You couldn't see anyone but the little guy and the people in 4th and 5th pretty much who he was lapping.

Like I said, AMAZING!

102. Morning Clint!
Bet you're glad to have your house in order again. It's wonderful to have guests, but it's nice when they leave too.

My weekend was fantastic. Went up North for the weekend and did a lot of hiking. It's rather nippy this time of the year, but the woods are so quite, so peaceful. It's kind of cathartic.

Here's a couple of pics of Lake Michigan.

136. Hi billy!!
We had a busy Saturday (birthday party for my nephew), and then I caught a cold...I swear everytime I go to my brother in law's house I get sick. Yesterday, I basically slept all day, but I did hang out in GD for awhile last night-it was past your bedtime though (10 PM-ish). We're having some trouble with my son and "going to school". He's miserable about it, so I've been spending some quality time with him in the morning. I am really irritated at his school because I requested, via email and phone, a meeting with his teacher and the principal to find out what is going on and I haven't gotten a response. Now, I am just goofing off a bit before I have to get ready for a doctor's appointment.

I missed you tons!
