I just found out I'm going to be
a Grandma. This is my first and now more than ever I will do everything I can to get Chimpy out and my candidate in. There ain't no stopping me now.

......because MY grandma, who has been dead for almost 7 years, was the kind of kick-ass cool lady who'd have been hanging out on DU if it had existed.

I know you'll be a great Grandma. I will pray for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.

By the way, I completely understand your motivation. I felt the same way when my nephew was born last January. I thought that we simply had to leave him a better world than he'd been born into.
