Yay! My good friend will be attending the trade show this weekend!

I have to go to Opryland (oy) for a trade show, Friday - Monday, and I really don't want to go...but now I found out a good friend of mine, who NEVER goes to these things, is going to be there!

He kind of adopted me (he adopts "kids" in the industry all over the country) at the beginning of my tenure in my publication, and we've kept in touch.

We've got tentative plans for dinner on Sunday.

I guess this means I'll be able to tell him in person that I'm leaving the industry to go to law school in the fall (which I know will make him a bit sad, but also proud).

2. Things are going...

This show is the declining show, so it's gonna be slow. (No interesting keynote speakers.)

I'll pack a book in my purse, I think...
