I'm sure this has been covered here repeatedly, but I need movie help

I haven't seen "Brokeback Mountain." I have a pen pal from Korea who asked me what the title means, and I don't even know. Would one or more of you be so kind as to help me out? Is it an actual place, was it the actual placename of an area in the movie, or does the title have actual sigficance which is relevant to the plot?

is the name of the Mountain that surrounds the area that the two main characters spend the summer together herding sheep.

I don't think it exists in real life. But it's the name of the mountain where Jack and Ennis first meet and spend the summer watching sheep -- and stemming the rose.
