Oh Christ on a ballfield
Tommy Lasorda, while giving the MVP trophy for the World Baseball Classic, was so obviously doing the "ugly American" thing by speaking English louder than necessary to a non-English speaker.

He was a frequent guest of Johnny Carson, y'know, and when he launched into a story about The Big Dodger in the Sky, the first six rows got their hair messed up.

Comes from all those years yelling from the dugout and third-base coach's box.

He was over enunciating everything...which leads me to believe he was playing "ugly American".

18. I really don't think this is the case
I've been a Dodgers fan forever, and Tommy has always had a loud voice. Plus, he's a first- or second-generation Italian-American and is considered something of a baseball ambassador. I really doubt he meant any disrespect.
