24 - last night's epizode thread (spoilers)

I can't believe Audrey sold the plans to the terrorists. If that's true - when did she turn into that kind of bitch?

Also - who were the people that tried to kill Wayne Palmer? Did the VP send them? If so, then he is involved in this mess too. Can't wait for the next epizode...

I think it was someone using Audrey's name. She just doesn't strike me as someone who would help terrorists.

Did you notice in the previews for next week, the guy in charge of CTU is asking someone on the phone if Wayne Palmer is dead yet? Is he a bad guy? What doesn't he want Wayne to tell the Secret Service? Could he have used Audrey's name if or when he decided to help the terrorists?

Guess we have to wait til next week for answers!

I will bet that next week, when we see Christopher Henderson asking if Palmer is dead yet the person on the other end of the phone will be the VP.

this for awhile. Finally, I think my husband believes me. I don't think it's Audrey. That would be too cheesy after Nina. Of course they strung Tony along for however many episodes just to kill him in the end for no apparent reason, so they're not above stupid moves.

I think it's possible that Audrey sold the plans for a number of reasons. The writers and producers of the series are fairly fond of turning a beloved character into a surprise adversary. Audrey is a beloved character. Also, there has to/had to have been an inside source of information from someone as to Lynn McGill's key card and it's availability. I will point out however, that it makes an even more fascinating plot device from a writer's standpoint if Jack believes Audrey capable of selling the plans, grows convinced of her complicity, wrecks their relationship irretreivably over his torture and interrogation techniques and then discovers her innocent.

And yes, I think the people who went after Wayne Palmer were the from the VP's office.
