OMG, The Shield... oh.... man..
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 03:12 AM by Wetzelbill
The season finale just finished a bit ago. Right now is the replay. I won't give anything up to anybody who hasn't watched it yet. All I can say is it made me so sad. Man, I was in tears!

I had to wake up my little brother so he could watch the replay. I had to dab my eyes a few times when he wasn't looking just thinking about what happened.

**Semi-Spoiler **

My favorite character! No!!!!!! The show will not be the same!!!!!

4. I only caught on to it this fall
renting the first two seasons from Blockbuster. I just said screw it and bought all of the seasons and watched them all. I was so addicted, and totally on edge the whole time. Then I got cable so I could watch The Shield, Deadwood and some extra pro wrestling. It's all too addictive. :)

2. Yes, that was terrific
I've been nervous all season that Shane had been unusually subdued, and then all of a sudden...

3. oh yeah
you hit it exactly on. What an effing way to have Shane go off. I knew it was going to happen too. I could tell five minutes before it did. I was like, oh no, oh no.... don't, just don't..... :)

7. I did see it coming
But that's part of what mad it so tragic. Anyone who has been watching this show had a pretty good idea what would ultimately happen, but didn't really want to believe it. This is a show, after all, that ended its first episode in pretty much the same way. Lem's confession to Becca really said it all about these guys. Vic and Shane aren't heroes. They aren't even cops. They're murderers, plain and simple.

5. So much for the message about loyalty, family, being a team....
bad guys, no matter how they are dressed (and lets not kid ourselves, they ARE bad guys), will always turn on each other, like rats.

I guess thats the message now, very tragic, though I should have expected a show like this to not have a fairy tail ending.

All things considered though, I would have much rather seen Shane eat the nade :( , that was just as painful to watch as the 2nd season finisher of Sopranos. :( :(

6. Isn't that bald headed guy star a freeper?
I've been avoiding everything he's in. Am I wrong?

8. Michael Chiklis?
Not that I know of. I've listened to every audio commentary on the dvds that he was in and he sounds, more to the Left if anything. He's from Boston, went to an Art school there, does charity work for kids with autism..... been on Tavis Smiley's show. Doesn't sound like a RWer. I've never heard him say anything overly partisan either way, but just from listening to his commentary and everything and his comments about the show, he seems to the Left if anything. :)

9. Maybe he's changed his tune.
I wish I could be more precise about my recollection, but I have a very strong feeling that I've heard him support the Iraq war very strongly.

He certainly would not be alone, if he has indeed come over from the dark side.
