Chicken pox
It looks like I've come back from spring break with a sunburn and the chicken pox!

1. Ouch
I'm sorry and that combination....

Oh, geeeeze...

Baking soda...mix it with some water, sponge it on (DON'T RUB) and then it'll dry and help the itching.

Oatmeal (not to eat...to bathe in...prior to applying abovementioned baking soda. And after, too).

Keep telling yourself that it won't last forever.

2. i thought i was too old to get the chicken pox
since most people get it when they are little kids, but then I realized I haven't had it before. It itches and the sunburn doesn't help, especially when i try to scratch!

5. Oh, whatever you do
DO NOT SCRATCH!!!

If you scratch, you'll scar. Use the baking soda. Bathe in oatmeal. Take Benedryl.

But...whatever you do...do NOT scratch.

Not even when those lovely little adhesions scab over and drive you crazy -- leave 'em alone.

6. i took benedryl
and I am itching less, but now I'm a little loopy, lol.

I am doing my best not to scratch (the fact that it burns to touch my skin probably helps me not the scratch) because I don't want scars. Luckily, I haven't gotten any spots on my face YET, but I have gotten a few on my neck.

9. Loopy's better than itchy
Hell, sometimes loopy's even fun.

Sleep's the best of all. You're less miserable when you're asleep.

10. yeah, the only problem is that benedryl makes me hyper not sleepy
unlike most people. I also slept the entire 6+ hour trip home.

12. Ouch. At least you got 'em now. I got 'em for my 30th b-day
and they were LETHAL. I could not work for a month, couldn't do much of anything for a month besides lay on a white sheet and let the sores fester. Everything hurt, even breathing.

Hopefully you're still young enough and you'll get through them fast. And GO TO THE DOCTOR, TOO! If you get them at an advanced age, there can be SERIOUS health consequences.

14. Caladryl lotion.
It's Calamine lotion with Benadryl in it. Sponge it on all over. It will cool the sunburn, dry up the pox and help control the itching. The older you are when you have chicken pox, the more serious it is. I hope you feel better soon. My niece had chicken pox TWICE!
