LOST was actually NOT a re-run tonight!
Where are the LOST loungers? What are your thoughts on Henry Gale? Is he innocent or an Other?

1. Henry Gale is totally one of the Others
That speech about the trap he "could" set for Ana Lucia was just perfect.

OK, what about Sun & Jin?? Is it a miracle that she's pregnant?? Of are the Others behind this, too?

4. Not only that, but the map led Ana and Sayid to a clearing that....
looked a lot like the clearing that Jack and the other Losties walked into the night they were searching for Michael. Remember when the Others surrounded them and lit the torches? The leader of the Others warned the losties to not go beyond that point or there would be consequences.

7. Isn't "Henry Gale"
the name of Uncle Henry in the Wizard of OZ (a book/movie in which a balloon plays a role)? Dorothy's last name was "Gale." Seems like an obvious phony name to me. I'm surprised none of the Losties have picked up on it.

2. Hey, it was good to see a new one and we didn't have to wait till
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 10:35 PM by theophilus
after midnight like we have been here in Arkansas because of basketball. Anyway. My jury is still out. Is the Gale a reference to Dorothy "Gale" of the W.O.O.? She was supposed to take a balloon home but the wizard got away in it. Just because they find a balloon doesn't mean Henry is not an "other". What if somebody else crashed in it? What about the corpses they found in the cave early on with the shiny rocks? So many questions. I just hope the episodes stay new and keep coming.....

Edited for lazy spelling.

5. I like that theory....
Adam and Eve could have been the original balloon flyers. Also, he mentioned the balloon had a happy face on it but in the promo pics for the next episode it looked like a rainbow balloon. It would be odd to have a happy face balloon that wasn't yellow, don't you think?

8. Great ending
Very subtle cliffhanger. I'm regretting watching the trailer now, though, because they do give away a couple of key plot points. But I get the feeling that whatever happens next week, it's going to be huge.

12. Here goes:
Jack and Locke let Henry out for breakfast. As he is eating cereal, Henry makes an offhand reference to the map he drew for Ana-Lucia (remember, J & L don't know about her). He makes some comment along the lines of "if I were one of those 'Others,' I would draw a fake map leading to an ambush, capture them and use them as leverage for my return. But it's a good thing I'm not one of them." Very creepy.

10. They totally showed too much on what's going to happen next week
after the credits and they show the "sty tuned next week" preview. They blew the surprise as to what Ana would or would not find out in the jungle with Sayid.

I trust Rousseau, though that probably will change again. We saw the baloon in the teaser for next week, but that means squat. Maybe the others used the balloon.

13. I watched AMerica's Next Top Model instead
They don't go into repeat for 3 weeks after showing a brand new episode.

I love "Lost" and will watch Season #2 when it comes out on DVD - no commericials and not forced to watch repeats.

BTW, usually ANTM comes on at 8pm but it was delayed because of the Sixer's basketball game

Our best theory/solution was that some couple may have been vacationing/honeymooning and brought a couple tests from home to see if they conceived during their trip.

17. I was pretty convinced he was an Other until last night
I don't know exactly what it was, but something about the way he was acting in last night's episode pushed me towards thinking that he's innocent.

Regardless, they did an excellent job casting that role. The actor who plays Henry is really, really good; he can very subtly shift from very benign and sarcastic to unbelievably menacing in a heartbeat. I got some chills during his little breakfast speech. (And yet, there's something that makes me think that he's on the up and up.)

get pregnant. Remember, the doctor informed her that her husband was infertile.

You wouldn't need to worry about birth control if a fertility specialist had informed you that the man you are sleeping with is infertile.

I think that, for the hubby, it represents a sense of normalcy and life going on. The island seems to have improved their relationship somewhat.

Maybe he's still hopeful for their rescue?

35. A woman who was leaving her husband?
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 02:19 PM by miss_american_pie
The trip for her was to stay in America alone, if I'm remembering correctly.

A woman looking for an out, who may or may not have had feelings for her English tutor, who is lost with limited medical supplies and crazy people who steal children?

37. I thought she told him
what the doctor said to her last night.

And there are so many reasons why couples are infertile. Maybe his was stress from their old life.

Of course, the doctor did lie originally about who was infertile. How do we know that he wasn't lying again? Maybe her father was involved and wanted them to divorce. Maybe if they thought that the other was infertile that they would get a divorce.

We never know what they were thinking on Lost.
