Do you have more computers or televisions in your house?
I thought about this yesterday, when I called the cable company to transfer service to my new apartment. They said, "so, we'll be hooking up two TVs and one computer, right?"

I had to think about that -- yes, this is the setup in my current place, but I haven't turned the bedroom TV on in months. We'll probably just get one living-room TV hooked up, and keep the little one and a VCR in case we need a kids' room for a party or something. The living-room TV, as it is, is turned on for DVDs, the Daily Show, some Alton and some occasional Spongebob or Dora for kiddo.

Meanwhile, the number of computers I'll have in the new place will be staggering (and we'll set up our own network, so the single-computer hookup offered by the company is just fine). Two of mine and one of my SO's will be hooked up immediately, and probably one more for each of us by the start of the next school year. This is in addition to the three or four computers that either don't work or are outdated that won't be hooked up (but won't be discarded for various reasons).

So, how about you? Does your household have more TVs or computers?

6. 0 TVs, 4 computers
I gave up watching TV when I went off to college in 1979. Little Brother gave me a TV card, but I rarely watched it, so had the cable service to it ended. Now we just have the cable modem, and listen to streaming radio such as BBC, German stations, and the "local" NPR station (FM reception here is really bad). Hubby has an old media monitor hooked up to the DVD/tape machines to watch movies.

8. 4 computers, one TV.
My roommate's PC, my Mac, my iBook, and a Linux machine 'cuz we're cool like that.

Of course, the 1 TV is way bigger than all 4 computer monitors combined, but screw it, my roomie & I are movie-heads, we wanna watch stuff in 'scope, dammit.

12. We've got two of each...
But only one of the tv's are used. The other one is currently face down on the couch because I haven't bothered to put it in the closet yet. Both computers are used.

This one is for gaming, music, and internet. The other is in the bedroom and is used for Roms.

TV is for netflix stuff. I use my computer, and DH uses the other 4. (Or sometimes 5, when he has his work machine at home.)

Supposedly, one of the 4 is my "backup" machine, but I rarely get a chance to use it... it's usually running some new variant of an OS or crunching data or something.... :eyes:

51. Two of each. Two TV's because there are three people living here.
One old (11 years) computer (that to this day, has NEVER let me down) and one newer (three years) computer that I can't trust for the life of me. Which is why I keep the old one. LOL.

If it were just me here, there would only be one TV.
