I want a kitty.
A specific kitty that I saw at the animal shelter the other day after we dropped off a load of cat and dog food (donated instead of gifts at my kid's birthday party last weekend).

Sweet kitty. Still there. Purred the moment I touched him.

Talk me out of it.

1. get him
I never in a million years thought I would get a cat. Hell....I'm allergic. But we got one last month, and I'm head-over-heels. I recommend cat partnership.

2. No, I can't talk you out of it.
How many pets do you already have?

I have three, and I keep telling myself that's the limit. So far, that's held. But I'm tempted frequently when I see rescue cats that need homes.

6. I have a few.
My dog misses her kitty, who died in November. My current kitty doesn't miss her other kitty buddy. My chickens aren't afraid of kitties and my fish doesn't give a damn either way.

3. I want a kitty too
I love the kitties. Unfortunately the Prophetess is badly allergic. She likes dogs more (I hate dogs) but I think she wouldn't mind except for her allergies.

Oh.My.Gawd.

Beautiful blue eyes! Cute pink nose and paws!

The one I'm looking at is a 3 year old male that is orange.

They are friendly and playful and loveable and smart.

That kitty needs a home! He already likes you! Go get him!

10. I know.
My kitty that died in November was an orange kitty. Every orange kitty I've ever met has been very friendly.

My dh cried when our orange kitty died. I'm not sure he is ready for another kitty.

It would probably be wrong of me to go get him on my own, right?

12. Well, you should agree together on it first. But get him! Really!
What's the possible harm? You'll have a new kitty (it won't replace the old one, but so what), you have room for a new kitty in your life, you really want a new kitty, and the new kitty really wants you.

I see no problems at all! Get him! Just think of all the squeezing and purring ahead! Think of it!!!

13. No, don't!
So much for my pathetic attempt to talk you out of it. How about a kitty haiku?

Kitty feet are fun.
Soft and padded while they walk.
Cats in my bed room.

16. My lovable orange male tabby heartily approves. You need him.
Go get him. Go get him. Go get him. Please. He tried to tell you how much he would love you if only you'd take him home, that's what the purr was. Go get him. Please.

I would never talk you out of getting a kitty!

21. I'm afraid I can't--talk you out of it
Sometimes destiny points you in the right direction, and it's up to you to see it as such. Perhaps you were fated to find this tiny companion and hold him for a very long time. :)
