3. I am still stunned
They couldn't beat the 10 point deficit, then they couldn't beat the 7 points... then somehow, they did it.

I like the Zags, and Adam Morrison is amazing, but I am damn happy the Bruins pulled this off!

And DUKE LOST!!! Weeeeeeeeeeee! :D

4. Ahhhhh...something we can agree on...
As much as I adore short bus president (who is a HUGE Duke fan) and I feel bad for him...I'm SO glad UT isn't having to face Duke again.

THE TARHEELS. :D

They lost a lot of their championship players after the season, so I am not surprised they lost early this year, and my VOLS lost too... UCLA gives me at least one more team to care about in this year's tourney, lol.

7. They're the hometown team here
So it's easy pulling for them (although Nini's uncle is a USC alum who played hoops for them many years ago, we still prefer UCLA)... and since my alma mater plays DivII (or whatever the next tier down is), I will never see them in a NCAA tourney, lol.

they just kept getting tighter and tighter and started playing not to lose. They were in control of the game and panicked.

10. Yes, my screaming neighbor alerted us to their win.
We rushed over there because we thought the screaming sounded like someone in distress. My husband pounds on the door. "Are you ok? Answer us so we know. Do you need me in there?" He was really worried. She opens the door with "UCLA won!" followed by more screaming. Another neighbor had their door open to find out what the hell was going on.

How do you break down and cry with 2.6 seconds left and still a chance to win? Where's the heart, the fire, the anger?



And just two weeks ago Morrison and Knight were dancing on the scorers' table for beating Loyola Marymount (12-18) by one point on a missed layup.

The Bulldogs (that's their actual mascot, right?) tried to sit on a lead for an entire half as they got outscored 44-29.
