I sometimes wish that I had a pet, but I can't take care of a plant let alone a mammal.

3. Mammals are actually easier.
They tell you when they are hungry. Plants just sit there silently and if you forget to water them, they die. Silently.

My cats, on the other hand, are quite vocal when they are hungry.
