3. I expect that she might think you would do that....
...being the one who presupposes she would be there for entertainment, if you know what I mean.

Great question.

12. Then he better keep right on lookin'.

Because the wife ultimately decides who is allowed into a polyamorious relationship.

a wife that does the housework, or most of it, coming from?

10. And that would be my response exactly.
No way would I share. If I was made to share, he would have to share also. That is how I was raised. Right or wrong, but to me it is what is done.

Can I marry a woman too?

Seriously though, I have absolutely no idea how I would react.

15. Divorce for me
I'm usually a very generous person but there are somethings I refuse to share. My husband would be at the top of the "No Share" list.

19. Depends
if it was someone I liked and was attracted to as well, I'd have to think about it. Although, personally, I'm too possessive for anything like that.

25. I think this is like being into S/m
It important to get consent up front rather than springing it on someone after you are already married. That way people can select partners better. I know a lot of gay men that are married to women. Some of them didn't let the woman know in advance...and that puts the wife in a terrible position.

27. Did I pick her? Is she bi? Do we get along? Does she work? etc...
I'm bi. I'd love to have both a wife and a husband who also loved each other. The reason we don't have have a third has more to do with the fact that finding a third that would work for both of us is like trying to find the holy grail.

I miss having a girlfriend, but I'm not going to have one I can't have a long term relationship with, and most people have issues with dating a married woman.

to have more than one wife?Figuring out one is hard enough! Not to mention I have a daughter and the two tend to fight like cats and dogs.More than one wife would NOT be a good idea!

30. would i be any happier if he wanted to marry an older woman?
Polygamy could work if we were polyamorous and all three of us were in love with each other and wanted to be a family. But if I'm competing with someone random for my partner, the situation is no longer one about love and commitment but property.

I'm really not into sharing. I'm definitely a one man kinda woman. ;-)

And I expect the same in return, if I'm going to be in a relationship

Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 07:03 PM by pitohui
any man can slip up and make a mistake but to put another, younger women in my face, in my house, in my BED...there could be no greater disrespect, it is saying i have no spirit and i have to put up w. being treated like shit right in public and in front of god and church and everybody, i'm sorry, i'll leave that crap to the mormons

for that matter if i sat on the jury of the woman who shot such a man, i'd be a sure "not guilty" vote
