4. Miss Aretha Franklin's music is ageless

My husband and I were lucky enough to see her perform in Chicago several years ago. Her "warmup act"? The incomparable Buddy Guy. He played "Sweet Home Chicago", and I thought the roof would come off the building.

Aretha was amazing. It was worth anything I had to go through to be able to see her live, and I don't like to fly.

It was a magical night.
