Post a Nature Picture.
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 09:22 PM by bigwillq
More specifically, post a picture of an animal or scenery, you captured on camera.

Even if you didn't take it yourself, show me some nature shots!

I want to see some pretty things!

:) :hi:

5. Ive been good
College life could be better because I go to a small ass campus and its impersonal but I've discovered what I want to do as a career and I think labor arbiration is something I can and will suceed at because I feel I can be objective and see things form all sides.

13. I cant wait to transfer
I need a new start, its not that I don't like the people here, its that I need a fresh new start. This summer will probably be one where I visit a lot of places for transfering. I need to get a job too and not just an internship, Ive had two internships and I want to make some money now, and I plan on getting an internship next summer at the NLRB, would consider it this summer but I think i need more experience and time.

26. Yeah
Pitt, UNC, UVA, and since I know I won't be able to transfer to an ivy league school Cornell for graduate school since they have a school that an old friend of my grandfather says is perfect if you want to get in labor arbiration. I just wnat a new start honestly and the situation ain't home is the same old crap.

34. Thanks man
I really can't wait because I think finally things will get easier socially, the problem with a commuter community college is that it's not very personal or maybe it is and I am just too shy ot realize it but being at an actual ocllege I think will help.

will be so much better.

Most times at a CC, people just come and go and they don't take the time to really get involved.

48. Plus with the stuff to do outside of campus
I mean we only have two frigging buildings and there's really not much around campus either, going to Wendy's during lunchtime got old real quickly. I mean if you're in a city like I hope ot be, the city can be like a playground so to speak. I guess thats why I'd prefer a medium-large city/town to go to school in. A lot of people i graduated with went to Va Tech for understandable reasons, they're engineering types but the small town of Blacksburg would bore me to end.

50. A medium-sized city
seems like it would be cool for you.

But you really have to research it. There are so many schools that are set in big "college towns" and there's tons of stuff to do there.

I'm sure it would be that way at Pitt, UNC and/or UVA.

119. Interesting
What city is SMU in? I'll look at it SMU- Southern Methodist University, correct? I decided arbiration would be best because I ma intrigued by labor history, feel I got the right frame of mind to do it too, I am an unbashed liberal but seeing things form all sides if something I inheirted and intend to use to the advantage of people.

136. SMU is in Dallas. I heard an ad this morning for the program
and the arbitration program is a graduate program actually. Dispute resolution is what they call it.

SMU is a good school, and there is a joke amongst some of my college professor friends is that SMU is one of the few colleges where the students are more conservative than the faculty.

But you can google it up and see. I am a Methodist and many of the ministers I know passed through SMU at some point in time. All are unabashed liberals.

I think it's the depth of field I shot it with. But here's another shot from the same day.

And believe it or not, this big horn sheep was only about a 1/4 mile up the road from the elk that day:

It was the closest I ever got to such big game in the wild. Even though I've gone back to that same part of the park many times, I've never seen the elk this close, nor a big horn sheep ever again.

Some sort of blind mole type vermit.

Here is another animal that is smarter and more handsome than our great leader Lord Morans.

Here is an animal that I wish would find its way into *'s boots.

Here is an animal that is extremely pissed at what is happening to its country.

Here is yet another animal more photogenic than Shrub.

Here is a real Texan:

You ought to go to La Jolla and hear the drivel that some of the locals are spewing about the seals.
They actually dragged some of the seals out to sea some years back...and guess what? They came RIGHT BACK!

The hawk caught the grackle in mid air and settled to get a better grip on it before flying off.

BTW, we live in town, not in the country. Besides this hawk we've also got a possum that lives out back and 2 nights ago we spotted a fox.
