She is going to try to post some from her slow little laptop, she said.

After some restorative days at the beach, she is coming to have dinner with me!!! No joke. I am very excited to be meeting her face to face. And if that sounds like I'm bragging . . . well . . .

I just got home from choir practice, where I sing with another DUer, mikeytherat. He's the guy that first told me about this cool website called the "Democratic Underground"!

I am envious of your experience of the total eclipse (but also, of course, really happy for you for doing it). That is on my list to someday experience. There was a total eclipse in Virginia Beach when I was little and it got strange and dark in Richmond. If I had been old enough to drive I would have been there. (Hell, I think I would have hitch-hiked, but I was only 9.) I was really intrigued by what you said about it being emotionally disturbing. I think even though you know exactly what is going to happen, you can't possibly be prepared for it.

March has been a crazy month for me. I am ready for April, I think.
