So, I'm at a pub tonight

And overhear a conversation. Some moron is talking about how Brokeback mountain was a movie set up by the Chinese government to de-stabilize North America, because, you see, it was a chinese director.
Apparently China's plan is to speed up the social decay of North America in order to take us over eventually.

Seriously, this is what the guy was saying.

My ma made bourbon balls a few days ago and sent them to my grandpa. They are strong as fuck. She saved a few for me to try, and it was like having Jim Beam's actual balls in my mouth.

I mean, I hang out at a Republican bar. The owners are active in town politics. There are photos of them with Bush Sr. and Ollie North above the bar. I've never heard anything that stupid at their bar. Granted, it's Morris County, NJ so it's more like people think it's fiscally to their advantage to vote Republican, but they're actually pretty socially liberal. Hell, the place is half gay when it's theatre season in town.

Currently, my advance copy of Brokeback is lent out to a guy I met there who used to ride bulls professionally. He's straight, but heard it was a good movie and was interested.

I just can't even understand how someone can justify that China is trying to bring forward the downfall of our society through "Brokeback Mountain." I mean, there has got to be easier ways! I'm not even a world superpower and I can think of more ways to bring about social decay.
