Hi DU, I missed you!
I've just spent two glorious weeks in Europe (I know, I know :nopity:), and I didn't miss all the nuttiness in this country all that much, but boy did I miss DU. I just felt the need to say that. Luv ya!

6. Oh my God...
THey cannot stand his ass - I mean deep seeded hatred. When I gleefully announced my opinions about the SOB in Amsterdam, three people bought me drinks. I visited Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France on this trip - not once did I meet a pro-Bush European. In general, people liked Americans, even though they absolutely can't understand the election of 2004. They also have an amazing understanding of the blue state-red state thing. It just shows how ignorant we our to other countries' political systems as opposed to their know;edge of ours. It was a great trip.

12. What a great way to make new friends & score free European beer!
I have a friend, originally from Bosnia, who visited Bosnia and Croatia last summer. Everyone HATED Bush and his evil minions. The young girl who went with my friend on the trip had never left the Southeast and lives in a red area with Republican parents: the girl was absolutely SHOCKED at the hatred of Bush. I'm sure it was an eye-opening experience.

5. Welcome back! You have a LOT of catching up to do!
We have averaged a scandal a day for Chucklenuts, been busy making Tahoe commercials, knocking around a repug who posts pictures of Baghdad when in reality it is Istanbul, we have seen a kidnapped journalist freed, sent roses to a brave journalist and seen more and more MSM waking up and realizing they have been part of a really long segment of "Punked."

7. I figured...
I tuned in to the BBC a couple of times and every time there was a U.S. news segment, it was about more foibles and fuckups of BushCo. They're such a global embarassment.

10. I know...
But I didn't want to get addicted to DU in the EasyInternet Cafe for three hours and miss seeing the Mona Lisa or something.
