Is America's Funniest Videos the least funny, most asinine show ever?

I have never liked this show, no matter what no-talent half-wit loser was hosting it.

Now it's on my TV... until I post this thread, and walk over and change it to the first Buffy Season Four DVD.

God, what a fucking dumbass show. Who watches this shit? I never talked to anyone who ever made mention of watching it - what the fuck? But then, I hang out with smart people, so maybe that's the issue.

I guess I am stupid.

Australia's Funniest Home Videos is. Part footage is our godawful crap, and part is pretty obviously American, which makes it twice as crap.

(I'm really not proud of myself for knowing that, honest!)

The show, all-in-all, is very corny and cheesy but some of the clips make me :rofl:

At least they hand out awards at the end of every "America's Stupidest Videos". You gotta wait until the end of the season for "Idol"-- which has done more for the promotion of talentless hacks than any show since "The Gong Show".

back when I watched TV.

I watch this show every time it's not a rerun, and have for the last three or four years. I can't watch fishing clips because I can't stand to see fish suffer, even if they're thrown back. I find crotch hits, wedding idiocy, pinata "mishaps" and ski crashes to be insufferably pedestrian. But I usually find about one quarter to one third of the vid clips to be entertaining, and about a third of those make me laugh so hard that sometimes I pee myself. To laugh that hard, yes, I will give up one hour on an early Sunday evening.

I am an intelligent, sophisticated woman. I make people laugh their asses off -- I don't even know how I do it. It's a gift I can never take credit for, but I love doing it. I'll publish my recent reading list, if you like (here's a hint: it does not include romance novels). I'll tell you how I was formed into the bright, entertaining, strong and confident woman I am. I admire your art and wish I could afford to buy one or two pieces -- as I have told you.

And I laugh at some of those vid clips.

they had one a while back of a nun dangling from a platform during a church service that had me laughing nonstop for 5 minutes. They usually have one really funny one in each show, with the rest of it filler.

And when Bog Saget was hosting... atrocious. The new guy (some game show host) isn't much better, but he doesn't come across nearly as badly as Bog...

the hosts of it, and it seemed funnier then, because Fugelsgang (sp?) actually cracked some witty remarks about the videos, giving the show a sarcastic edge, and Fuentes just stood there giggling the whole time, and displaying her spectacular body and atrocious wardrobe, but she also made the show seem funnier. Tom Bergeron is OK, but I wish they would go back to F&F.
