Seriously one of you could have told me how much Outkast SUCKS
This has to be hands down the single worst "song" I have ever heard.

They didn't even go to the trouble to sample another actual song into it.

:wow: does this suck. I just heard it on the local TOP 40 station.

Yeah this one right here goes out to all the baby's mamas,mamas...
Mamas, mamas, baby mamas, mamas
Yeah, go like this

Chorus:
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apoligize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apoligize a trillion times

A baby drama mama, don't like me
She doing things like havin her boys some from her neighborhood
To the studio tryin to fight me
She need to get a, piece of the american pie and take her biteout
That's my house, I disconnect the cable and turn the lights out
And let her know her grandchild is a baby, and not a paycheck
Private schools, daycare, shit, medical bills, I'll pay that
I love your mom and everything, see I aint the one who laiddown
She wanna rip you up started cussin you all, my lawyer staydown
She never got to hear my side of the story we was divided
She had fifths out, cookouts, on my child's birthday I aintinvited
Despite it, show her the utmost respect when I fall through
All you, do is defend that lady when I call you, yeah

Chorus:
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times

Me and you daughter
Got a special thing going on
You say it's puppy love
We say it's full grown
Hope that we feel this
Feel this way forever
You can plan a pretty picnic
But you can't predict the weather, Ms. Jackson
Ten times out of nine, now if I'm blind fine
The quickest muzzle throw it on my mouth and I'll decline
King meets queen, then the puppy love thing, together dream
Bout that crib with the goodyear swing
On the oak tree, I hope we feel like this forever
Forever, forever, ever, forever, ever?
Forever never seems that long until your grown
And notice that the day by day rule can't be too long
Ms. Jackson my intentions were good I wish I could
Become a magician to abracadabra off to Sata
Thoughts of me, thoughts of she, thoughts of he
Askin what happened to the feelin that her and me
Had, I pray so much about it need some knee, pads
It happened for a reason one can't be, mad
So just know that everything is cool
Yes I will be present on the first day of school, andgraduation

Chorus:
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times

Uh, uh, yeah "Look at the way he treats me," shit, look at theway you treat me
See your lil nose ass homegirls got they ass in the creek G
Without a pad on, you left the straddlin, ride this thing onout
And the union girl aint speakin no more cuz my dick all in hermouth
Know what I'm talking about, jealousy, and fedelity, envy
Cheating, beating, and to the G's they be the same thing
So who you placing the blame on, you keep singing the same song
Let bygones be bygones, you can go on and get the hell on
You and your mama

Chorus:
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion time
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson
I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times

Not for any good reason, though.

3. MAD TV did an awesome parody of that song a few years back
right around the time of Jesse Jackson's paternity problem. Aries Spears sang the song as Jesse, with new lyrics. It was quite funny.

8. Well to be fair
this is only one song. But they would have to have two really great ones just to get them back to even.

WOW that is a suck on a level rarely seen.

11. I think they're good, but only because I'm judging in context.
Judged against The Beatles or the best Motown or Kingston, Jamaica had to offer, or even the best underground hiphop today, Outkast is mere fluff.

Judged against most mainstream hiphop or pop today, Outkast is like the fucking Beatles.

Ya gotta grade this stuff on a curve.

12. I like Roses and Hey Ya. n/t
Caroline! Caroline!
All the guys would say she's mighty fine
But mighty fine only got you somewhere half the time
And the other half either got you cursed out, or coming up short
Yeah, now dig this, even though (even though)
You'd need a golden calculator to divide (to divide)
The time it took to look inside and realize that
Real guys go for real down to Mars girls, yeah!

I know you'd like to thank your shit don't stank
But lean a little bit closer
See that roses really smell like boo-boo
Yeah, roses really smell like boo-boo

(Um, I don't think the line is boo-boo, I'm pretty sure it's pooh-pooh)

14. I like that song too. And when I heard it was about Eryka Badu's mom,
I liked it more, and the fact that he disses his mother in law makes it super freaky.

Secondly, Outkast is good shit. Check out "Da Art of Storytelling Part 2". One of the best hip-hop songs I've ever heard. (Mind you most of their stuff isn't as good as that, but it's still not that bad.)

19. Here's the key to that--Andre 3000 is the only good thing about that group
Edited on Tue Apr-04-06 08:33 PM by tjdee
I tried listening to Speakerboxx (or whatever), and almost fell asleep. Big Boi is kind of like....eh, whatever. Plus, his name is dumb. He does most of the rapping in that song "Ms. Jackson" if I remember correctly, and snore a snore snore. He's like the run of the mill rapper who would be nowhere without....

Andre 3000. Or Andre Benjamin, or whatever, now HE is one to watch. I find him to be very interesting. He dresses differently, he's just a "different" guy. "Hey Ya" is absolutely terrific, the execution, the lyrics, everything just very, very unique IMO. His cd of the double cd set, The Love Below, full of very interesting sorts of things. Not completely my thing, but it has it's moments.

To recap: Big Boi=suck. Andre 3000= interesting.
