I couldn't sleep so I'll say my piece

I'm lying in bed awake....all kinds of thoughts going through my head....The sadness of my brother-in-law who we buried yesterday....a good guy who was perhaps not as appreciated as he should have been...The frustration of having to accept that George Bush is able to convince a lot of people that he is doing what has to be done to "save America from terrorists."....The fact that many right wing forces are at work in my country (Canada), trying to undermine our social services (especially health care) and I worry that they might succeed.....Most nights I sleep fairly well, but not tonight.......I'll have to let this all go and get some sleep....

of a world gone mad. Sometimes I just have to back away and let go for a day just so I can see straight and remind myself we all do make SOME difference...BBV coming to light..people waking up.

Sorry for your loss, glarius. It's hard to lose a family member, especially when you're not sure the person knew he was loved and appreciated.

It's 3 a.m. and I can't sleep, either. I went upstairs to our guest bedroom to try to study for my law school exams next week, but I just can't seem to concentrate. I despise Bush with every fiber of my being and lie in bed thinking all of the terrible things he's done to the world and wondering what he and his evil cabal will come up with next. I feel angry and helpless all the time and have ever since November of 2000, and sad to say, I just have a feeling things will become even worse than we ever could imagine. Why won't the people wake up and see what is being done to our planet by these madmen, and better yet, DO something about it? But what can we do?

Try to get some sleep. I think I'll try to study for my Ethics exam Tuesday (and try to avoid stewing over the utter lack of ethics in this "administration" that's inflicted on us). Take care.
