Find joy in your life.... every day
I'm a bit sappy this week after finding out that a high school classmate died in a freak construction accident on Monday. People my age just don't die, and he did.

So I've decided, to have a beer, every day.

And to have a bite of dessert, every day.

And to remember to enjoy those people in my life that love me, and to tell them often how much I love them.

And to remember that often times, happiness comes when you think of someone else's happiness first.

And to spend at least a minute every day listening to nothing.

Oh yeah, and to pet the cats.

Mortality sucks.

1. I learned a while back how important it is to say "I love you."
My best friend was murdered 15 years ago, and it shook me to the core. I now let people know that I care, that I appreciate them, and they are of great value. I've never regretted that hard-learned lesson.

My condolences on the loss of your friend.

2. U R wise.
My Man

Tell me the truth, how do you feel?
Like you're rollin' so fast that you're spinnin' your wheels?
Don't feel too bad, you're not all alone
We're all tryin' to get along

With everybody else tryin' to go their way
You're bound to get tripped, and what can you say?
Just go along 'til they turn out the lights
There's nothin' we can do to fight it

No man's got it made, till he's far beyond the pain
And we who must remain go on living just the same

I once knew a man, a very talented guy
He'd sing for the people, and people would cry
They knew that his song came from deep down inside
You could hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes

And so he traveled along, touched your heart, then be gone
Like a flower he bloomed till that old
Hickory wind
Called him home

My man's got it made
He's gone far beyond the pain
And we who must remain go on living just the same
We who must remain go on laughing just the same

4. Yes
Those little things matter so much on a day to day basis.

I'm sorry to hear about your classmate. :pals:
