Mix emotions

My wife and I had a very hard day.

We lost our cat to a car accident today. He was a year old and my wife is taking it hard because she let him outside.

See we live next to our landlady who has two cats of her own. and at first those two cats didn't accept our little one but soon did and they would all meet outside on the porches every morning and kind of hang out and watch the birds.

So natural my wife let him out this morning BUT for whatever reason he left his normal routine and went missing. My wife and I look for two hours and could not find him. I worked the night shift and needed sleep. I told her to just wait a while to see if he would come home on his own. Long story short the landlady found him in an empty field as she was returning from her errands.

We thought it was something that could be fix but the internal injuries were too much. We elected to put him down.



I thought it would be good for my wife and after a couple people suggested it we got a new kitten this evening.. Some say it may have been too fast and it could have been.

So now we have this new kitten which is a gray and white tabby. We are looking for a name... My wife wants a gender neutral name and we need some suggestions...

Anyone got a suggestion? And My wife doesn't want to do something traditional like Smokey

I'd call the new kitty "Fuzzy."
