Welcome to this Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I'm all excited because today is the first day of my vacation! :woohoo: It seems as if it's taken forever to get here, but here we are!

I hope you've had a great week so far! One more work shift and the weekend will be upon us, so you can relax and have some fun instead of hitting the old grindstone. I'm going to be leaving for Missouri to see my parents early in the morning...and when I say early, I'm talking 3:30 to 4am. If I can get on the road by 4 at the latest, I should be in Springfield by 7:30 to 8pm! In other words...it's a LOOONG drive. :rofl:

I'm not going to have access to a computer for a week (until next Saturday), so I have asked SeattleGirl to be in charge of the Early Morning Crew thread while I'm gone! She said she'd be happy to, so Miss Seattle will be in charge until I return! THANK YOU!, Miss Seattle for filling in for me while I'm gone! :bounce:

Just thought I'd let you know that I think Clint made a great choice for his vacation replacement It's super nice that you agreed to do this. It's an incredible time commitment and work, but as well you know, this morning crew is great and a lot of fun too!

It was an AWESOME machine! It even had a food disposal in it so that any food washed off the dishes was ground up and washed away in the emptying cycle! When I moved into this place, it already had a dishwasher so I gave it to my little brother.

I almost feel sorry not to be part of SG's Good morning threads. But only almost.

I packed my stuff yesterday and took it with me to work this morning. My train to my mom leaves at 5pm (only 4 more hours of work :bounce: ) and tomorrow I'll be flying to Prague :woohoo:

I'll be thinking of you and your long drive. You better be careful and have a safe trip!!!

My best friend is coming over to spend the night tonight. I made this pasta sauce for tonight's dinner that's really rich, a hearty meat and tomato sauce that I let simmer for 2 hours while I cleaned.

Anyway, today after work, I pick her up and we go to my house. I'll cook us dinner and we'll be lazy and pick out movies and talk all night!!!

Thank you, thank you! I surely will be safe! I've made this road trip several times and it's kinda crazy, that's for sure! I get to see the entire state of Alabama, part of Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and then drive across the entire width of Missouri!

I'm saying a BIG Aaaaahh, too! I've got a LOT of 80's cd's mixed for the trip as well as a lot of country! I'm going to go to the library today and see what books on CD they have so I can listen to that when I get tired of music! Many hugs to you too, my dear! Next weekend is a long one here - Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays - the 25th is Anzac Day (kinda like Memorial Day) and May 1 is Labor Day. So we have a string of public holidays coming up.:toast:

It IS a long drive...Mapquest says 16 1/2 hours. I've driven it in 14 to 15 before. Hopefully I can make it in that amount of time again! Tampa is humongus compared to Tallahassee...I hope you have a great time!

We used to go to the beach every weekend and take pictures. They're over on the other computer ... but some of them are really pretty. We sit on a lifeguard station and have a picnic while the sun was coming up. I don't know why we stopped doing it.

The waterbed is really helping ... as is the chiropractor. It's not like he's jumping around saying, "Damn, I feel great!" But he's not hobbling around in pain anymore. :D

But our realtor called and said that the one who cancelled for Wed. afternoon has been here before and wants to bring her husband -- we're on the short list of houses she likes. The husband got called out of town and they'll come next week.

The one who didn't show up at all just got tired of looking at 8:00. They were due here at 7:00, so it appears they were behind schedule. When my realtor suggested to her that it would have been a good idea to call, she said, "Gee, I never even thought about that!" x( He said it was really hard for him to be nice to her.

I used to work in mens wear. One fellow who came in had to be escorted out by security. Then security walked me to my car and followed me home, just to make sure I was safe. :scared:

My daughter used to work in a restaurant and she was so hilarious when she talked about it. She really had to struggle sometimes to keep from pouring someone's beer over their head. :rofl:

I think to myself after I've been dealing with some of these people; "How in the name of all the gods did you get THIS far being such a damned idiot?" :rofl::eyes: Of course you can't say that to their faces (I want to keep my job, dont'cha know), but I sure can THINK it! :rofl:

We ordered new family room furniture and they sent a little square of leather in the mail. We looked at it and wondered, "Is this the right color?" So we called up the store and told them we wanted to come in and look at the colors again. Sure enough, it was the right color. It just looks a lot different in a tiny swatch than it does on a piece of furniture. I'm sure the guy was rolling his eyes. He was very nice about it, though.

The colors of our furniture look different sometimes in a persons house because we have spotlights all over the store shining on them and they look somewhat lighter on the showroom than in use. I try to tell everyone that as I'm answering questions and stuff. I've more than one person come back in to re-look at colors.

The ones who get me are those people who come in one day, see somethings on a great sale, doesn't buy it and then comes in a month later and is mad when the sale is over and wants me to give them the old sale price anyway. :eyes: It doesn't quite work that way, you know?

And it looked perfect. The little piece even looked wrong in the showroom until we compared it to the sofa. It was like an optical illusion or something.

The guy told us the prices were going up on April 1. This furniture never goes on sale, apparently. But we had a whole week to decide. It would have been our tough luck if we'd waited till April 1 to order it.

People do expect the strangest things, don't they? :shrug:

But, that's just the way it is, I guess. Well, Miss Airmens...I need to go get a bunch of stuff done today so I can leave early in the morning for Missouri. SeattleGirl is going to be in charge of the Early Morning Crew thread while I'm gone, so you'll still have the crew here while I'm away! I hope you have a great weekend and upcoming week and hopefully, when I get back, you can say; "Guess what?!
